The practice

Biblical meditation is not emptying the mind; it is filling it with the text. The Hebrew word behind “meditates” pictures a low murmur: turning the words over, again and again, half aloud. Not study, not speed. The psalm’s promise is for the reader who stays long enough to be planted.

What is biblical meditation?
